Auqabot Turbo T2 worth it? vs T-Jet model pool robot

I can't decide between the Aquabot T-Jet ($700) and the better scrubbing Aquabot Turbo T2 ($1,500) for a 40,000 gallon in-ground pool. What I like about the T-Jet is that it has few moving parts and with this simple design there is not much to wear out. But the Turbo T2 does a superior cleaning job and will also climb the stairs. I've heard that certain parts wear out on these track drive models and I'm not too excited about adding more annual maintenance on top of the long list what I already have to do. I've love to hear from anyone who has experienced either of these Aquabot models hands-on. How does it work for you, are you happy with it or do you wish you got something else? p.s. I've ruled out others such as Polaris as I don't have a booster pump and don't want to put more strain on the old pump/motor/filter.
