Air conditioning system

The airflow in my house (two floors, no attic) is currently done with two exhaust fans on the roof. The house has two airduct systems for each fan. One is servicing garage, indoor swimming pool and basement. The other sucks air out of bedrooms etc..

Recently I've been looking into AC with heat exchanger. This is Scandinavia so I'd like to collect heat before it is exhausted out of the house.

Because the house has two air duct systems I'm looking into two separate AC systems. I don't mind buying them from overseas as local models are expensive.

My plan is the following:

1) remove the roof fans and cap the holes 2) Connect the ac machines into extinsting airduct in one of the rooms or basement and provide exhaust pipe to outside.

So I would be using existing air ducts.

What problems I may be facing? Can you recommend any models? The climate is mild in summer and regular airflow is sufficient for summer.

Nauditoriums are hideous for humidity. Where I live exhausting out of the garage is a no-no. We have fire walls between the gargage and the rest of the house. Installing fire dampers is an expense that few will really do. I suggest you find a local engineer/architect/contractor and start there. I have no clue of the building codes for Scandinavia and any suggestions I would have would be based on the UBC,which is USA only.

Manual calcaulations for the a/c work will need to be done as well as new ductwork to get the air into all of the rooms.

Exhaust will be through exhaust duct allready in place. Why can' I use the old ductwork? What is a Nauditorium?

I suggest it would be best to get a local professional take a look at the situation first. There are far too many variables to make guesses on line. The local professional should also know of local codes and special problems based on local environmental situations.

That would be referring to your swimming poor room-building.
