can mice chew through blown in insulation

Aug 08, 2015 1 Replies

I recently had blown in insulation put under my house , which is a crawl space , I had mice before this and the workers told me that the mice wont get through this . Is this true

No! Mice can get through anything that isn't metal, glass, concrete or stone. The workers should've said, they won't WANT to get through it. I assume you're talking about the recycled newspaper insulation, it's treated with chemicals to thwart fire, bugs and rodents. Mice will come through and even remove anything else.
