Hi! I'm choosing a 36000 BTU minisplit A/C for a hot climate with high energy costs. The best quotes I've got are a 22 SEER AirCon, 22 SEER Midea, and 21 SEER Mitsubishi. The difference in price is $400 between AirCon and Mitsubishi, and $300 between Midea and Mitsubishi.
Since the step up to the Mitsubishi is not huge, I'm inclined to go that way. But the other units have one more SEER point. Does that guarantee they are more efficient? Is Mitsubishi's higher quality worth the small SEER penalty?
