you are offended by language and or irreverency, ya' might wanna skip old Joe's essays.

Great article(s) on the dangers/situations we are facing, and it does apply to our gardens......because they may not be here for many of us for long. Food production is gardening, different scale.

Starts with a quote from LONG ago.......funny how some people just know things, eh?

"The power of population is so superior to the power of the earth to produce subsistence for man, that premature death must in some shape or other visit the human race. The vices of mankind are active and able ministers of depopulation. They are the precursors in the great army of destruction, and often finish the dreadful work themselves. But should they fail in this war of extermination, sickly seasons, epidemics, pestilence, and plague advance in terrific array, and sweep off their thousands and tens of thousands. Should success be still incomplete, gigantic inevitable famine stalks in the rear, and with one mighty blow levels the population with the food of the world."

-- Thomas Malthus, 1798

Joe was a friend of Hunter, Tim, Kurt and many of the other boys. A true redneck and true liberal/socialist. Kind of a paradox, eh?

Billy, I know you gotta love the guy!

All our times have come Here but now they're gone Seasons don't fear the reaper Nor do the wind, the sun or the rain..we can be like they are Come on baby...don't fear the reaper Baby take my hand...don't fear the reaper We'll be able to fly...don't fear the reaper Baby I'm your man...

Valentine is done Here but now they're gone Romeo and Juliet Are together in eternity...Romeo and Juliet

40,000 men and women everyday...Like Romeo and Juliet 40,000 men and women everyday...Redefine happiness Another 40,000 coming everyday...We can be like they are Come on baby...don't fear the reaper Baby take my hand...don't fear the reaper We'll be able to fly...don't fear the reaper Baby I'm your man...

Love of two is one Here but now they're gone Came the last night of sadness And it was clear she couldn't go on Then the door was open and the wind appeared The candles blew then disappeared The curtains flew then he appeared...saying don't be afraid Come on baby...and she had no fear And she ran to him...then they started to fly They looked backward and said goodby...she had become like they are She had taken his hand...she had become like they are Come on baby...don't fear the reaper

But not this essay.....Joe adds new stuff all the time.

Whoa, what a change of direction! I was listening to some Frank Van Bogaert. "Docking". Spacey.

Oh man, I haven't listened to BOC for a long time. It's in my head now!

I think it is time, eh? Addywerks, neh?

I know exactly what you mean, friend. I depend upon others to speak what I know and understand, yet am unable to effectively communicate.

Vergara certainly caps the feeling of the article with great visuals.

This essay made me feel really.....funky. I don't know.

Here is link to an interview with Joe, in case you didn't notice it on the site, or are interested.
