Creative uses for smooth river rock

May 15, 2006 1 Replies

Okay, I'm looking for suggestions to use smooth river rock (you know the kind that has been tumbled at the base of a water fall for eons) in the garden. I have about a cubic yard total with sizes ranging from pebbles (1-2") to stone (5-7")

I know about using it for a mock dry streambed. I've seen it used as inlay for concrete items. I guess I could use it for ornamental Asian style rock gardens.

I will probably save some to try for luau/clam bake/hot rock cooking.

Any other suggestions?

Thanks

Jay
