Another day of serious gardening , and my back knows it ! But I did get a lot done today . Got 33 hills of taters (kennebec white) planted out in the garden , and 4 large "deck pots" - one onion , one garlic , and two strawberries - planted plus half a dozen small pots with herbs . The taters are planted where I had vine crops last year , so I tilled it to get the hills knocked down . Turned out well , the soil is light and fluffy . Once they're about 6-8" tall I'll do a light fertilizer application and hill them up more .
