Strawberry Jam

The first batch of strawberry jam from our garden is cooling on the kitchen counter ... the bit I tasted from the pan is awesome . While my wife was jammin' in the kitchen I was out hilling and weeding the potatoes . Garden is coming along , except for salad stuff . Found and moved 5 small thornless blackberry plants a couple of days ago that are looking pretty good - this makes 14 plants now . It turns out that thornless blackberries with American Indian names propagate via root runners and that makes it easy to grow the patch .

The second batch is now being processed ... the rest will probably be frozen as they're picked for later use . Black and blue berries are also coming along nicely and we expect a couple of batches of jam from each .
