The verge cement on the gable end of my roof is in an awful state. Birds have got in, made nests and pecked away at the drip felt, damaging it. I've had a 'dry verge system' recommended to fit after making good the cement and felt. Anybody any thoughts on, or experience of this. On a recent visit to Eastern Germany (where there is a LOT of new building) I noticed that it was almost universal on the new houses. It does look as if it will hermetically seal the tile edges as well as holding them very securely in the case of high winds.
