Finger-Jointed Cedar Siding ?

Hello,

Anybody have any experience, good or bad, with finger-jointed horizontal clapboard Cedar siding ?

e.g., stuff last, joints become visible with time, etc.

Or, is it really "good" these days, what with gluing technology advances ?
