What to do when the tape around the ducts melts from attic heat

I am assuming this is an older installation and the tape was probably duct tape. Go to Lowe's or Home Depo and get some metal duct tape. The ducts also should be sealed with Mastic but I am not sure if Lowe's carriers it. You might ask about it.
