Would anyone like a mortar gun?

I have, surplus to requirements, a brand-new unboxed hand-operated mortar gun from Toolstation:

Anyone who could use it is welcome to have it for the cost of delivery: say £5. Just let me know.

Pointing brickwork.

Good luck with that, as they say. Unless your mortar is whisked to a yoghurt-like consistency, doomed to failure IME

Well, quite. Failing that degree of viscosity, they'd need some kind of power assistance, surely!

I'm sure that there is a technique involved!

When I had my drive re-surfaced a couple of years ago, I had a border of paving bricks all round the outer edges. The workmen laying those used a mortar gun to point them - and made it look very easy! ISTR that they used two guns and that one was being re-filled whilst the other one was being used. The whole process was very quick. I tried to find out exactly what they had put in the mortar to make it flow, but they weren't all that forthcoming. I think they said something about using plastering sand (is there such a thing?) rather than builder's sand or sharp sand.
