Wooden buildings - why?

Don't forget to cost in the mortar, surprising how much it takes.

I am assuming a dry sense of humour here - obviously using blocks as an alternative to a wooden frame and shiplap timber would start to lose meaning if I then had to clad it in shiplap! :-)

Been busy on other things, but back to the garden building project soon.

... but there IS sense at times in wooden cladding a masonry building. It gives added insulation and can help match in with existing buildings when you still want the security value of block walls.

Rusticated blockhouses are chav proof, and look good.
