What's that cement fibre sheet called, please?

Grey coloured, hard & brittle, about 3-4mm thick, used to board over soffits and the underside of porches etc?

Cheers

fibre cement, asbestolux etc. Note there are 2 different types available, wood fibre reinforced and glass fibre reinforced cement sheet. Only use the latter outdoors.

Probably several of them. I use Viroc Versapanel, which I get from Avon Plywood in Keynsham.

Fire & weather resistance are good, although it's alkaline so needs to be primed with an alkali-proof paint (e,g,. masonry paint). It's also very brittle, so needs to be supported well. I mostly use 10mm, as 6mm is a pain to work with for cracking. I wouldn't use anything thinner.

I wasn't aware that glass fibre reinforced cement sheet was available. My architect said that the wood fibre reinforced sheet was crap. Is half inch thick panel available, or will I have to make it myself?
