The look of the site's fine. Some of your copy needs going over - both to remove duplication ("Door paint" box has the same copy as "Floor paint"), and to correct various typos and poor English. I haven't really looked at the prices.

SEO is a dark art - you really want to find a good specialist who can dive a bit deeper into your site to get it ranking better.

Oh, and spamming newsgroups is a really, really, really bad idea.

Lack of appropriate keywords meta tags on the home page. Do you have any links to your site from reputable next tier distributors?

Someone good at SEO. I'm not going to look at the spam

No idea what products/quality/prices/productinfo/deliveryinfo you have, but IME most retail sites fall down in at least 1 of those areas, resulting in a lot of no thankyous. Retail really is detail.

Loss leaders always help too.

Your condition that all faults or damage must be reported within 24 hours is unenforceable if a private individual purchases from you. For business to consumer sales you are legally responsible for the goods until they are delivered to the customer. You cannot exclude that liability and it is not dependent on any conditions the carrier may with to make. You would be well advised to read the information at this link and incorporate the requirements in your site.

Illegal T&Cs paint a very bad picture of a business.

This guide to the Distance Selling Regulations should also be useful, as there appears to be no mention of them:

Of particular relevance to the site's terms and conditions, the regulations make no reference to most* returned goods having to be in their original, unopened packaging nor to their having to be resalable for the rights to apply.

*Exceptions are audio or video recordings or computer software, which cannot be returned if unsealed by the customer.

I also note that, on their web site, Dulux state that paint mixing products are not considered to be bespoke items. It is unclear whether this is company policy or an OFT decision.
