Shower door

Trying to fit a shower door into a recess area - there are three tiled walls and the door. However we are having trouble fitting it into the recess. The door type is a Roman Collage hinged door which adjusts from 830-885mm and the gap is 840mm.

The instructions say that one of the wall profiles should be screwed in (in the middle of the profile) then the hinged door wedged into the profile. However because the edges of the profiles are so big there is no room to angle the hinged door in.

Is the 830mm minimum applicable for recess areas or just for cubicle situations? Anyone have any ideas on what I could do?

Roman tech support are closed until Monday

Cheers

Usually with a recess door you would mark and drill the holes for th profiles, fit the profiles onto the frame, slide the door into positio and then you can screw the profiles in place through holes in the frame I did fit a Roman recently and I cant remember it being a problem. The 830mm would be minimum size of recess. One tip when fitting shower doors is to ALWAYS unpack the door an physically check exactly what size it will fit into, I know of at leas one friend who got the tiling finished and then found the door wa literally 3mm too big
