Painting concrete garage floor

I done this before in a previous property where the floor had been laid for many years.

Having moved into a newer house, it's just a year old I wondered if it's ok to paint the floor too.

I have read about using primers and such like but in the last house I just used leyland floor paint and gave it two coats and it seemed to stand the test of time pretty well.

Is there anything else I should look at doing prior to painting.

Thanks

I don't think it would harm to give it a couple of coats of well diluted PVA to seal it before painting.

pva isnt damp resistant, concrete paint is. And paints dont like sticking to pva once dry.

Just follow the destructions on the tin.

I'd guess it would be pretty much dry by now

International Paints is the place to look, they do a specialised concrete sealer & quick drying garage floor paints
