I used one of these laminate blade to do the sink cutout and it took forever!

I originally tried with a jigsaw and laminate blade but it was so hard to get a straight line with a thick worktop (and even going along a straight edge didnt work as commented by someone else). Went out and bought a cheap circular saw and was stunned at how easily it ripped through in a perfectly straight line (and the edge was perfectly acceptable too if you saw on the back of the worktop).
