attaching polystyrene to brick

Hi

I'll keep it short. Anyone know of a suitable adhesive for this job?

Cheers

I'm guessing but none of the solvent based products would be advisable but the 'non-solvent' water based 'no-nails' products should be fine.

I just popped onto the Screwfix site to get a product reference and on their Adhesives & sealants index page they quote--

"Solvent Free Grab Adhesives. For internal high grab adhesion and gap filling. Suitable for most materials, including polystyrene. ..."

Too short. Is this expanded polystyrene (foam), dense rigid polystyrene or some other polymer ?

If it's foam, use a solvent-free (watery) cartridge. If it's rigid, go for one with a solvent. If it really is polystyrene, then it's probably clear glazing, in which case a butyl rubber mastic is probably best, as some of the solvents can cause clouding.
