Your school had a swimming pool?

He turned up 30 minutes late for the interview. So that's a good start:-)

My primary school did. It's still there, too.

My infant school is long gone:-(

It did actually, but the sea was quite close.

During winter months sometimes worryingly close...

After 6 years of school fund raising they built a pool the year I left! Construction noise was a huge help during the exams:-(

He got as far as the interview? Ok, I guess I'd be curious too.

What scared me when I went back was that not only had they demolished my infant school and built a new one - but they had demolished that one too!

So how come the new one lasted less than 40 years?

Built in the 60's?

Donno what's happened to my infant school. I know the gateway from our road into the playing fields has been a road for a while, so I suspect the council sold the playing fields for housing. Where's street view...

Yep, sold half the playing field by the look of it, half a dozen or so bungalows there now. School is still there, orginal as well as I recognise the square brick built chimney. Changed the colour scheme, it's now red it was a duck egg blue. Primary school still there, not changed much either.

Having rung to explain the (serious) problem that delayed him, and warn you of his late arrival?

Apparently he did have a good reason, and Adam forgave him.

Wonder how he got to interview stage with that on his CV!
