if the fixture itself is bad probably cheaper to toss the old unit
out. Before doing so check to be sure there is power to the fixture -
switch failed, failed connection.
It is possible for electrical/electronic items to 'suddenly fail for
not apparant reason'. There is always a reason though sometimes not
worth the time and effort to find! <g>
