If you are in South Africa and it is the beginning of autumn here, it must be early spring there.

If the leaves are from last year, they are dying off to make room for new foliage this year.

Pretty tough plant, just keep it watered and as new leaves grow remove the old yellow ones.

I live South Africa and have planted 4 Elephant Ear Plants and the leaves are going yellow
