Stuck non-return valve or stopcock on way to outside taps

The water supply to the outside taps is set up under the kitchensink. Photo:The supply comes from the right, turns up through the stopcock, turnsleft, down through the non-return valve, through ascrewdriver-operated valve which I always leave open, then through thewall to two taps and a draincock on the outside. [1] This system hasworked over a couple of winters.This spring I opened the stopcock and haven't been able to get morethan a trickle out of the outside taps.Which component is more likely to be stuck, and is there a chance ofunsticking it by banging on it with the water and outside taps on? Anyother suggestions?Thanks[1] Historical background: the guys who did the kitchen put in thescrewdriver valve. I never liked it and wanted a non-return valve soour plumber and boiler technician added them later.

Our appliance connections are like that (90° range), but they have a plastic handle rather than a screwdriver slot.

Possibly. They either came from a local, family run, plumbers merchant or possibly from Screwfix via the post, before they branched out, & long before Toolpost.
