Hi All,
I have a stove in a surround about 1.5m high X 1.3m wide X .7m deep. It sits in nicely into this space giving me space to stack logs either side. The problem is the surface of this surround which is plastered and painted is now cracking quite badly. My stove is high output - up to 14kw so it produces a lot of heat.
I think my options are
1) tile the surround - would tiles and grout withstand this heat? 2) Bricks - this option would mean that I lose space for stacking logs either side of the stove - could I use half brick? What do you think?
Thanks, Derol.
