Solar heating, what to choose?

Also if you have mains gas you won't be eligable for RHPP or RHI payments.

Where the RHPP and RH will increase the rate of return but it's still not good. Having said that the solar thermal panels, store wood burner etc that is going in here may well break even in 10 years. 8k capital, =A32.20/day average daily saving required to pay that off in

10 years.

We currently burn 25l oil/week in the summer for mainly HW. Oil is currently 60p/l so thats =A32.14/day, plus (maybe) 18p/kWHr RHI... OK that's the summer but the price of oil ain't going to go down!

Insulate. Draft-proof. Some more insulation.

Forget solar, it won't pay back in your lifetime never mind hers. She is of course in one of the warmest parts of Britain.
