So Amazon/Visa may have come to an agreement!

Either we have slightly different views on what constitutes a modest purchase, or there were some less modest ones before that one. ;-)

£60. Correct, there had been one of £1500 before that. My average monthly purchase is ~ £1000.

I have just received my first non-embossed credit card, it does indeed have a crescent shaped notch on the lower right side, it also has two embossed dots on the front, I see other examples with either four or six dots, what do they mean?

Quite surprised that all the previously embossed info is now printed on the back, not the front, lets see how long it takes to get rubbed off ...

No dots on mine. Maybe different banks have different numbers/positions of dots, to allow distinguishing between the cards.

I think I've had mine for about 12 months (maybe a bit less) and the bank sort code is beginning to fade, but nothing else so far.

I used to have a cc or bank card with my photo and (digital) signature embedded within the layers of plastic. I'm not sure why now they would print card numbers etc. on the outside of the top layer.
