Roller Blind

My lounge windows is 235 cm wide with a 135 cm drop. I had a fairly cheap roller blind which collapsed round my ears a couple of days ago and is now a bit banana shaped!

The roller was made of quite light metal and was 25 mm in diameter. In sourcing replacements they offer a 40 mm diameter metal roller. What does the team think, strong enough to save my ears?

I would opt (and have opted) for a few shorter ones, to match the uprights. Shorter ones are inherently stronger than one long one and, if sun is a problem, you can pull-down the ones that are relevant and leave the others.
