Same problem, news.blueyonder.co.uk has a very limited history of articles.
text.news.blueyonder.co.uk is far better. Why the two different servers? And
how on earth does one find these things out?
The story goes a bit like this.
A few days ago someone at VM restarted one of their
News Server machines with the wrong date as a result
they began to spew out posts from December 2006
if you look carefully at the headers you will see a line
like X-Received-Date: Tue, 26 Dec 2006
These posts have propagated beyond VM in
the normal way.
If the OP in a particular thread wasn't via
VM then it will start from the first reply that was,
and then all the follow-ups subsequently in the thread
irrespective as to whether they were posted via VM or not.
Anyway, thats the situation AFAIK.
