name or source of specialist fixing sought

Hi all I'm looking for a source of what I might describe as 'a nut with integr al washer'. This would be a 3mm or so nut, with a washer perhaps 10mm diame ter. Any idea what these are called (if they exist)?

This is for a repair job - some threaded bushes on a mains-power musical in strument have pulled out of the surrounding plastic, due I think to too muc h tightening. I suppose an alternative would be a similar brass 'bush with integral washer' which I could thread - any source for this sort of thing?

Cheers jon

I'm having trouble visualising how this will be used for the repair. But there is useful stuff here:

The nut component of a (book) binding screw would probably do the job.

( As an aside, these are primarily intended for binding paper but the thinness of the screwheads make them useful for other purposes)

These come in a variety of sizes in various materials the only downside being you may need to buy more than you need

cheapos available on eBay

Thanks for all the suggestions guys...

The 'flange nuts' I came across just after posting ... the flange would need to be quite a lot bigger for my purposes, as I would be using it to reinforce the join between the nut and the plastic panel.

Bob, the 'bonding fasteners' that componentsDirect have would be perfect ... except they seem to be a bit large. I shall investigate further. Good link, thanks.

Book binding screws - good idea, I'd forgotten about those, and could make use of any extras, thanks Matt.

I also thought of getting some small brass discs, punching a depression in the centre (for added 'depth' of the tap), then drilling and tapping that.

Use a standard nut and a 'penny washer'

That would be fine but I need them to be 'captive'.
