That's brilliant. :-)
+1
I don't remember the poundland ones being 1 m.
The KLE website (Australian firm) also says: Recommendations: depending on the audio system? Burn-in Time: >100hrs and even >250hrs Settling Time: >2hrs and preferably >24hrs (once unplugged and replugged)
I expect this is to discourage early returns. A fool and his money are soon parted.
Yes well compared to the common or garden bits used in the rest of the digital line its like pissing in the sea as I've said before, and unfortunately any perceived problems are usually do to very bad connections. Brian
You can add - if it's slightly s**te then it will be perfectly corrected. Either the data packet will be resent or there will be some redundancy and correction inherent in the data packet which allows correction without a resend. Video and audio tend to use plan B.
At the top level, no - just a CRC. However the packet payload can be up to 1024 bits, and this can include forward error correction (or anything else for that matter).
It was indeed.
W-e-e-e-e-e-e-e-e-llll. It isn't as simple as that, but for the purposes of pointing out audiophool nonsesnse, near enough.
Just back from buying a new telly at Currys, where the charming assistant tried to flog me HDMI cables for a mere £50 for two, down from £80 for two. She tried to convince me that somehow 4k upscaling from my HD YouView box would only happen if there was a gold HDMI cable between the two. That was exactly as successful as her trying to flog me Mcaffee anti-virus for my wife's new laptop (and, to be fair, exactly as successful as my wife trying to negotiate a discount for the whole lot).
You don't stand a chance in Currys. You need to speak to someone with some power, and the salescreatures in Currys are all powerless pod people.
Er...? FFS
No but £421.20 self assembly it's a snip!
:-D
