How to fix a new windowcill

Feb 13, 2009 1 Replies

This weekend's job is to install a new slate windowcill. The slate is prettyheavy (it's 25mm thick) and it's going down on top of a rubble- stone wall. I expect I can just use a couple of large 'dobs' of cement - but I'm not really sure of what sort of cement and sand-mix.

Any ideas?

Simon

I'd bet it in 2:1 sand:cement an add frost stuff and a plasticiser. make it almost waterprrof that way.

do slope the slate outwards..
