skirting, for a solid fuel appliance. The regs say 150mm from the appliance so I guess that bit of unfinished skirting could extend all the way to the corner, so long as appliance is >150mm from corner. Another bit of regs says nothing combustible on the hearth surface. So some ambiguity there.
Anyhow fairly imaterial. Not a major change if any one objects in future and anyhow there will be logs stacked on the hearth drying when in use!!!
