EV current draw at boot up Featured

Anyone out there with an EV got a multi-meter with a clamp to measurecurrent draw at boot up? Wondering just how small a battery pack I can getaway with as “boot up battery” in the event of a 12V battery issue.Thoughts precipitated by acquiring two lithium 12V electric blind batterypacks of 2600 mAh each and wondering if they could be repurposed asemergency boot packs.Tim

radio memories are eeprom these days. I can replace the battery in my

2009 Astra and it doesn't lose any settings. I have left it unused for 5 weeks with no ill effects, and that is with a Bosch battery now coming up to 7 years old.

And then you have to re-initialise stuff. Even in 1990 cars you had to know the code that makes the radio work, and know how to enter it.
