Electrical outlet to serve lights below kitchen units?

I'm using Crabtree brushed chrome fittings for the kitchen There will be lights attached to the base of the wall mounted kitchen cupboards; not to the wall. I expected there to be available something similar to a cooker outlet in brushed chrome, but it's only available in white and will look bad.

What's the correct way to continue the supply out of the conduit in the wall, out of the plaster, 2" along the base of the cupboard, to the lamp?

Thanks Tony

One day I hope to start answering questions as well as asking! Many thanks for all the help and advice

how about a Crabtree 13A Sw FCU Blk Ins Brushed Chrome from screwfix? not sure of the correct electrical regs but I chased the wall from the switch to the height of the cupboards and just had a small hole for the cable to exit

I'd not normally use anything - just straight out of the plaster onto the underside of the cupboard. But if you do want an outlet, do Crabtree do a matching 2 amp 3 pin socket? Assuming you're using the lighting circuit? If you're using the ring, a FCU should be used.

No real reason why it can't just be surface run - since the plinth or whatever should stop it showing and it's unlikely to get damaged there. Or use mini trunking.

Yes -it'll be coming off the lighting circuit. I'll just put one of those 'hat' things (plastic thing shaped like a T-nut) where it exits the wall to make it look better (even though it won't be seen)

Thanks again

I use Klik architrave-sized lighting sockets mounted in the wall level with the bottom of the cupboard. If there's a pelmet to shield the light, you won't see them. I use the same things above cupboards for over-cupboard lighting.
