The tricky part, is figuring out how to make window units, and get a bit of light in there. Maybe bottles of hand sanitizer, turned on their side and stacked, would work ?

Go Outdoors is cheaper for Butane £37.58 but they have a 10% off offer plus, you can get 10% more if you are in Caravan Club or one of various other clubs. They seem happy to allow you to have at least two discounts.

Harry thinks you can just collect 47Kg cylinders in the back of your car !!. Someone (a big beefy bloke or lesbian) has to deliver them.

Oh right the bloke who delivers just lifts then like they were empty ....

And 47kg is liftable by a fit person. Of course that rules *you* out...back in the day a 50kg sack (a hundredweight) of coal was hand delivered ...

Some suppliers won't take empty cylinders back & refund the "deposit". I had "Calor". In the end I gave them away.

You need the agreement plus the refund is tiered, depending how long you've 'rented'/'owned' (which you prefer) the cylinder. I think the min refund is £10 for one of the larger cylinders. No agreement, no refund.

There is a good trade in empty 6kg propane cylinders - in the spring there can be shortages due to a lack of 'empties' in the system for Calor to fill up. There is an 'equivalence' in the exchange system- you can, for example, present an empty 7kg Butane and collect a full 6kg Propane, a 15kg Butane and collect a 13kg Propane.

I was given a nearly empty one. I used it on the BBQ to empty it then used it to swap for a spare propane - the previous MH gas cupboard door was only large enough for 6kg cylinders. Having a spare propane is useful as I can keep a full one, rotating the one nearest to being empty to the BBQ. I?ve also got a French Le Cube - while in ?mainland Europe? I carry that plus a UK propane as backup. Le Cubes are readily available in France and the chances of using a whole UK bottle if we need the back up before we can find a Le Cube is naff all.
