Bad Solar Panel Job

Jan 21, 2025 0 Replies

I was siting in my car yesterday, waiting for my dentist appointment. My attention moved to the roof of an adjacent building, which had a collection of solar panels over a pantiled roof. The house was not new, and neither were the exposed tiles. peeking out from under the panels. It seemed to me that the roof would fall apart considerably more quickly than the solar panels would. Is this possibly a case of the salesman for solar panels ignoring the proper procedure for panel installation, ie to makes sure that the roof underneath is of good enough quality to survive the panels themselves? It is very very likely that the roof tiles will slowly crumble away, leaving the panels unsupported, except by each other.
