EV charging

A DC charging plug has two additional pins for + and -, I presume it does fancier communications over the existing (control pilot and proximity pilot) handshake pins to say "shall we do DC?" and "ok, how many volts do you want?" before anything happens on those +/- pins.

OT: A nice little Adblock alternative

https://requestpolicycontinued.github.io/ It can be set initially to block all outbound requests outside the target domain (which will break many sites) but you can easily see which requests have been blocked and add permissions to legitimate ones in a single click on a global or site ...

CMS for publishing FAQ articles

Free-for-all editing? User account only editing? I'm quite happy to do some styling if it proves sufficiently popular. I'll even get our graphic designer to do a full site design if necessary; that should result in a fantastic looking site.

leveling a mastic ashphalt floor

TBH, I usually have to do a bit of that when laying engineered wood (same problem as your laminate) and it is considered perfectly OK as long as the card is on the dry side of any vapour barrier you may be laying.

Radial Arm Saw

Frankly, I see many more opportunities for shop mayhem with an ordinary table saw. I own a aforementioned RAS, table saw, band saw, compound miter saw, drill press, planer and jointer. I consider the jointer the most dangerous tool in my shop.

Lawnboy piston help

lucas, I may be interested in going the OS piston/rings route, depending upon my conversation with the machine shop later this morning. I think if I can get it bored for under $50.00 I may go through with it just for the fun of it. Could you help me find the os piston and rings?

Keeping gutters clean?

Sears sells an attachment for your shop vac that includes extensions and a hook and nozzle. You can hook it up to either blow (with the nozzle) or suck and use it from the ground on a one story house. I find that if you don't let it get too bad this works really well.
