What's in a Fluorescent Ballast?? (magnetic, instant start, single pin/duplex bulbs)

I don't claim to know much about fluorescent lights, however I have dozens of the cheap shop lights that seem to only last a couple years in a cold damp inviornment.

portable air compressor recomendations

Hi Folks, I'm getting ready to pick up a portable air compressor - mostly for shop use, but also fo the occasional site work. Mostly used for a coupla pin/nail guns, a jitterbug sander and (hopefully) for spraying finish. Any recomendations for a decent unit? thanks -_JD

This Group went to hell

Make a very nice mobile shop. Hell, there's even a local architect using one as a mobile CAD studio. Strange seeing it rolled up at a job site and he's inside doing his mods to plans right there.

Slate edging tool

Help with bearing for chop saw.

t by this site Get the bearing out and take it to your local bearing/seals shop. They will sell you a replacement, no problem.. If it's aluminium, heating it helps to get the outer bit out. Sometimes they glue them in which can be a problem.

Advice on buying a ladder

DIY shop and a price comparison web site found via a search engine. Not really. If a ladder is going to fall it will fall no matter what type of fancy feet it has or mat is underneth.

Replacement fabric for roller-blinds

FWIW that 'CoverUp interiors' shop on Chapel Road, Worthing (next to The Fabric Shop) had a well odd proprietor, the last time I went in there. I wouldn't try to shop in there again.
