OT: Amazon Just Got On My "Sleazeball" List

I shop there less than I used to. Also, some recent articles say that Amazon is no longer the default lowest cost vendor on stuff, especially for Prime members who order knee-jerk/reflexively and don't bother to comparison shop any other vendors.

Which gauges for TS alignment ?

Acrylic was free, I have a good square already along with the bit to drill the hole. Although it could be done with the blade on I'm sure. I set the fence the same way, ran a board, and measured with three different steel rules, all accurate with each other. Results were dead on accurate.

bother

I called them into the shop after planing it, got them to take a look and they took it away again (1 hour blown) and came back with some 6" x 1 1/2" macrocarpa. Planed it, gauged it, trued everything up ready for gluing. Lots of tiny and not so tiny dead knots. Hard to find a decent ...

transx and nochex

Door plate/bar?

It's free enterprise, last time I checked. Some businesses don't even give refunds. They are required to state that prominently, and if you find that off-putting, shop somewhere else. But there is no need to make a scene at the place of business.

Lee Valley glitch

FYI...their website isn't accepting orders ... the checkout button just dumps you back to the home page. Customer service said they did a server upgrade that's causing problems. Some upgrade. Michael
