Visit a local cabinet or millwork shop and you can see what truly "high-end" stuff looks like. You'll also notice that much of it will be quite old. Some of this stuff is so expensive or hard to get , even the pros have to buy used. Barry
The guy at the shop said on the first visit that about 10% of dimmers he sells develop a fault. I'm wondering if I have been really unlucky or could there be another reason? Any ideas? thanks AJ
I have a Cabelas Visa card which gives back 1% or higher on purchases from them. If you're not into hunting or fishing, they have camping stuff. Got a real nice pair of sheep skin slippers for wife last Christmas for free.

It's quite common for the pins to stick, though - rather than for the spring to fail. You can usually free a stuck pin either by gently tapping the side of the valve with a spanner or by (again gently) moving the pin up and down with a pair of pliers - taking care not to bend it.

American Express, Bank of America, Barclaycard, Capital One, Chase, Citi, Discover and US Bank are some of the major credit card issuers. They are all "banks". Visa and Mastercard are payment networks, not banks or card issuers.
It was always an Amazon ploy to get Visa to reduce their charges plus to gain commission from various Mastercard providers when customers changed via their site.
Swingman may have posted a hand made knife that Mark, his SIL, made for him while on this visit using Mark's um er uh Swingman's shop. ;~) Anyway, as a BD gift, Mark presented me with my own knife. I was honored to have received this surprise. Moments after receiving.
Actually I was just about to take it into the shop to have the front end worked on....
