oh gawd, here we go....

Its history is here.... http://matse1.mse.uiuc.edu/~tw/concrete/hist.html If this house IS 1898 and it really IS concrete it could be one of the first in the world. Concrete was very new in 1898.

Splitting Internet & TV cable

It's TW, and only costs me $19.95 a month. Used to pay $49.95, but they offered this light service. I have rabbit ears, but can't get but a handful of channels. When I hooked up the cable to the TV, I must get about 30 channels, most of which I've never heard about.

Electricians rates

I can understand not allowing bare chock blocks to extend TW&E etc even under the floor boards, but I've used them extensively inside steel adaptable boxes where I require more connections than a standard JB can supply. So I really don't see any difference between here and inside a CU.

Seeing colour in a B&W film..

The one that TW demonstrated used strobing or patterning to tire some of the cones more than others in the eye, so as to achieve that same goal of varying colour sensitivity of the eye.

HDTV antennas & complaints

'Scuse me, but how in the hull do *you* know what Comcast, TW, Charter, etc are going to do in the coming years? Some doubt they know they-own-selves. Several years ago I could get premium (HBO, etc) channels on my NTSC tuners.
