Not really OT -- Sharpening a knife blade while not at home

I have a sandstone (figured naturally) water catcher to put my cups on - shop and house. I sharpen and clean the bottoms of the cups that way for the medium work and then to the ceramic rods. Those are only in the shop.

T-Force Air for nailers?

My buddy owned a dive shop with 4500psi compressor and 20 large storage bottles, I already had the parts and it still wasn't worth using. I have a light, cheap ($25 ) pancake compressor now. I leave the big compressor in the shop.

OT- ish learning some electronics for a 9 year old

I'm not sure if this is more because of innovation and improvement, buying them from the pound shop (or The Famous =A31.20 Shop, if you're somewhere posh like Tenby) or because Zn-C is now a 3rd-rate technology and not assumed to be expecting a hard life.

Interesting articl and thanks for the link, but: - It doesn't really answer any of my specific questions - It is targeted to body shop repair while I am interested in it more for *home* repair uses such as filling wood defects, etc.

My kitchen is a nightmare!!!

Custom made laminate tops are quite reasonable, and something that a small shop can handle and give you a good job. Shop around. Call around. You may be surprised at what you can get for a reasonable price, and INSTALLED, too. Plus pick your pattern/color.
