Basement Shop vs Dust in Home Above

The only problem with dust I have had outside of my shop is from the sawdust that settles on my shoes. I put a door sweep on my shop door to help keep the dust out of the rest of the basement and it seems to work well.

Rigid 16 Gal Wet Dry Vac - Quick Review

When I looked maybe 8 years ago, they looked just like Shop-Vac but in iirc blue. I ended up buying one at Pep-Boys because it was Shop-Vac and the right size. Ridgid didn't seem to have soot filters, so I could clean the furnace and flue. Only Shop-Vac seemed to.

Sub freezing temps and shop supplies

My shop just spent its first winter in an attached garage after we moved. So far the temperature has never gotten below freezing, even though the outdoor temperatures have been down to the single digits.

INSPIRATON - Bowl Lathe

Actually, I do have room in the shop for something like that... love to make it digital speed too... lol You've got me thinking now, about welding, metal fabrication, etc.. A friend down here just finished building his house and I'll be helping him build a large detached shop...

Then there is the one about sending the freshman from the wood shop to the paint shop for Barber Pole paint and of course he was always sent back with "What set of Colors" and then of course the Paint shop was missing one color and they had to select a differant set and this ...

Table Saw in Basement

My tablesaw and shop are in the basement. I have a two-car garage but that's for cars. My shop is air-conditioned and heated, plus a double-door walkout. I'm lucky too, that I have a large shop window. My house sits on the side of a hill.

Is there a good way to deflate large inflatable toys?

I have a couple of small shop vac's. One of them is a one gallon Shop-Vac brand. I use it when servicing refrigeration, HVAC equipment and computers. A lot of folks are surprised that I will use the vacuum to clear condensate drain lines instead of blowing them out like most techs.
