OT: Reservoir overflows

Plenty do have a sort of bridge over the spillway and there arent a lot of dams that have an access road for maintenance vehicles over the top of the dam wall.

Yes, it would be stupid to have a tall tunnel in the middle of nowhere, no point in the extra cost of the longer tunnel to the dam wall although some dams do have an old bypass tunnel that was used to divert the water past the dam during the construction of the dam itself.

It only falls if there is enough debris that could see the dam fail, f****it.

We do in fact have some fences across creeks that are designed to fall if there is enough debris that can see the fence get ripped out because it's a lot easier to stand the fence up again after the flood has passed than to rebuild the fence.

No evidence of anything like that at that particular reservoir.

And there certainly isnt at the one dam of ours that has one.
