Humidistat for Power Attic Vent

Have a question regarding the humidistat on power attic vents.

The installation manual for a Certainteed All Season ASR-HP Roof Mounted Power Attic Ventilator states that, under the Humidistat section, to "ground to screw on box".

Does this mean that when you ground it to the screw on the box, it then becomes humidity driven instead of temperature driven? So twice a year, you have to go back and connect it for the winter, and disconnect it for the summer?

Their website provided no help.
