building steps down a slope

Hi, I want to build a set of steps down a slope. It drops approximately 5' in a 25' run. Have been searching the net trying to get ideas. The easiest seems to be 6x6 timbers filled with something. Anybody have anyother ideas and any links as to where they might show examples of how its done. I've fabricated steps off of decks so I'm familiar with figuring tread and risers. I know its going to be alot of work , but I'm not afraid of that , I just don't want to have to do it twice.

see ya

I would use pressure treated lumber and make two sets of stringers and then you could have a railing too which in these parts are required by code. Bolt a 4X4 pressure treated post to stringers and set them on blocks or pour concreet in sonatubes if you want it more permanant. Landscaping timbers require a lot of digging and are hard to get the layout you want. Plue they cost a lot of $$!
