What might be the cause of a bathtub not draining through its drain hole, but if tub is filled high enough, I do hear the water draining via the overflow port ?
This is a new tub/drain installation.
Is this caused by a faulty drain trip lever installation? All was working fine yesterday.
You BROKE it!!!
Sounds like there was a kink in the linkage that worked its way out, or the stopper unscrewed.
Pull the stopper assembly out and see if the water drains. If so, you'll just need to adjust the linkage and make it shorter.
