Laying new turf and also new paving slabs

im laying turf down in my garden but not sure whether to lay the pavin

slabs before or after the tuf is layed? if i lay the slabs down on to of the turf do you think they will sink, killing the grass underneat and be level? or cut around the slabs laying down a sand base the laying the slabs?

Put down the slabs first with a good sand base. Level and compact the sand. If you put the slabs on top of the sod, the sod will compact unevenly. Besides, you'll be paying for too much sod.
