Wet basement
First time homeowner. The house is 25 years old in a wooded area of maine. We have a partially finished basement (framed, wired) but concrete floor. There is not a sump pump. Curiously there is one wet spot in the middle of the concrete. Initially I thought it was water coming in from a wall below a deck that wasn't flashed correctly but it's clear that it is seeping up at this one spot. What's weird is that there is a rust colored circle about the size of a can of paint at the site. What could it be? [IMG]
