water pumps

Hi,

I have a water pump between my hot water tank and the boiler ( no element just feed from the boiler) and then one after the hot water tank and the pipes. My question is they have 3 speed settings on them which is the best position?? Does it affect the hot water pressure?? If not what do they do??

thank-you.

Nigel

The speed setting on the central heating pump affects the speed at which water flows through the radiators and therefore how quickly the radiators get got. If by hot water pressure you mean the pressure of water coming out of the hot tap then no, the hot and cold water tap supply is not normally pumped.

Thanks.

The 2 pumps I am talking about are not on the heating system that has its own 2 pumps.

Theses 2 pumps are just on the hot water system. I live in Austria so are trying to work out the Austrian heating system.

Thanks

Nigel
